Emily

Following a 10-year career in forensic pathology Emily decided to try something new. Her career took a different path following the birth of her children and she undertook a role as a homecare worker for a local care agency that provided domiciliary care.

Emily gained a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care in 2015 while working as a homecare worker, where she found her passion for domiciliary care.

In 2017 Emily sought the opportunity to challenge herself and utilise her new-found skills and qualifications and became the Care Co-ordinator for Right at Home, a role that allowed her to see all aspects of care. The role also encouraged her to become a trainer. Having completed relevant courses in Manual Handling, Medication and Basic Life Support training Emily enjoyed introducing new carers to the company and really focusing on delivering high quality training that would allow the carers to deliver high quality care in the field.

In 2018 Emily became Registered Manager of Right at Home Basingstoke. At the same time, she started her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, a course of which will work hand in hand with her role.

Emily joined Right at Home Basingstoke because of its ethos of providing a ‘quality over quantity’ service. By involving Clients in every aspect of their care choice, we enable them to remain independent and in control of their lives for as long as possible. Emily ensures that our services support them to maintain their dignity and respect and place a huge emphasis on clear communication. By valuing our care team, we encourage them to provide a high quality of care and make a real difference to the lives of the people we provide a service to.
