Members of Singing for the Mind, Bordon were in fine tune when they performed at the Grayshott Christmas lights switch-on.

The group, which is run by Right at Home Alton and Bordon was set up in 2022 for people with memory impairment and those who support them, sang several Christmas carols including Mistletoe & Wine, Little Donkey and Calypso Carol.

Claire Skilton, Registered Manager for Right at Home Alton and Bordon says: “The group is still quite new, so this was our first Christmas performance. We had around 15 people singing and there would have been more, but illness meant some were unfortunately unable to attend.

“Singing for the Mind meets every Monday at 10.45 at The Beehive, Hogmoor Inclosure in Bordon. It’s a friendly and active group so once a month we meet for longer so we can have a light lunch and, weather permitting, have a stroll around the Inclosure. We’d love to see more people joining us in 2024 so please do feel free to come along – everybody is welcome.”

Following the Christmas lights switch-on Singing for the Mind received thanks from Grayshott Parish Council who described the choir as ‘brilliant’ and how it had been good to ‘see them having such a good time’.
