Betty's Story

Betty always told her children that she hoped never to end up in a residential care home or living with them, but wanted to maintain her own independence.

Sam's Story

Sam has Asperger Syndrome and lives in his own flat. His parents knew he needed some supervision and assistance with living on his own and wanted to encourage his independence with support from a CareGiver of a similar age.

Bob's Story

The many years Bob spent as a soldier and active construction worker were beginning to take a physical toll. At first, he simply had trouble standing up from his chair without a helping hand, but he soon needed more help.

The care my mum received from the team was excellent. All the careers got to know her well and were able to detect changes in her behaviour that indicated the onset of an infection. They quickly called for medical intervention and kept me informed.

The communication from the care agency was excellent and they were never hesitant to help communicate with outside agencies.

The care given to mum was tailored to her needs and reviewed continually. Mum really enjoyed her visits from all the carers. They were always prompt and worked efficiently. They made time to chat with mum which helped keep her mood bright even though her quality of life was not good due to her being bed bound for the last six months.

As well as looking after mum so well the managers and carers always had time for a chat with me which helped with some of the stress I was feeling. Mum has now passed away but I will always be grateful for the care provided by the agency.

I have found the care and support received for my Mother from the Borehamwood Right at Home team to be first class.

My mother had been unwell for a while and the only way she was able to return home was with the support of daily carers. It is never easy to accept a change of routine but Mum now really looks forward to seeing the lovely ladies that care for her. They make sure her needs are catered for and always find time for a friendly chat.

The Management team are so efficient and I am always able to contact them straight away. A weekly schedule is sent to me which I find invaluable. They have been very supportive and full of information and advice.
