About Staple Hill:

Right at Home Bristol’s office is based in The Eclipse Office Park in Staple Hill.

Staple Hill originated in the 18th Century. There was once a railway that ran through Staple Hill connecting it to Mangotsfield, Bristol and Gloucester, the station unfortunately closed in 1966.

In Staple Hill there is a park named after Arthur William Page. Page Park opened to the public in 1910.The park has many features including a sensory garden, a variety of play areas, a band stand, café, bowling green and much more. The Friends of Page Park oversee what happens in the park (along with South Gloucestershire Council) and are a volunteer run group.

In February 2023 the park was awarded The Green Flag award, for the fifth consecutive year. This is a scheme that recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces.

Staple Hill regularly hosts markets in the square and Page Park. Every Christmas the local retailers get involved for a celebration called ‘Christmas on the Hill’ where there is a variety of entertainment and stalls on offer.

Our clients in Staple Hill like taking walks around the park with our Caregivers (the Aviary is of keen interest) they also enjoy the variety of coffee shops and cafes on the high street, visits to the library and also to local organisations for different community groups.
