Dr. Ramin Nilforooshan, Consultant Psychiatrist and Mental Health lead in Surrey, will be special guest at the cafe, which is held in St. Mary’s church from 6.30pm on Monday, November 16th 2015, giving people an opportunity to learn more about dementia and how it is diagnosed by healthcare professionals.
The Alzheimer Café provides a space in which the issues surrounding dementia can be aired and problems voiced. It has a very friendly and relaxed feel and provides families and professionals with the opportunity to share their feelings, discuss problems, give and receive guidance and education, and make friends.
Bob Thornton, owner of Right at Home Camberley and Alzheimer’s Café volunteer, said: “We at Right at Home Camberley, Ascot & Woking are proud to be associated with the Camberley Alzheimer Café. It is held every third Monday of the month at 6.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Park Rd, Camberley Surrey GU15 2SR and there is a very welcoming atmosphere – we hope anyone affected by Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia will be encouraged to call in.”
