The December session of the the Alzheimer Café in Camberley, to be held on Monday 14th December at the earlier time of 3.30pm – 5.30pm, will feature a Christmas Social afternoon, along with music from “Grandpa’s Spells Jazz Band”. Anyone is welcome to attend.
It will also feature a talk from Sally Wilton from the Surrey Library Service, who will inform about the multitude of facilities and resources that are offered by Surrey Libraries, such as The Reminiscence Collection, and the opportunity to join this wonderful resource.
The Alzheimer Café provides a space in which the issues surrounding dementia can be aired and problems voiced. It has a very friendly and relaxed feel and provides families and professionals with the opportunity to share their feelings, discuss problems, give and receive guidance and education, and make friends.
Bob Thornton, owner of Right at Home Camberley and Alzheimer’s Café volunteer, said: “We at Right at Home Camberley, Ascot & Woking are proud to be associated with the Camberley Alzheimer Café. It is held every third Monday of the month (normally at 6.30pm) at St Mary’s Church, Park Rd, Camberley Surrey GU15 2SR and there is a very welcoming atmosphere – we hope anyone affected by Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia will be encouraged to call in.”
