Welcome to the Weekly What’s On Guide for the Elderly and their family members (WoW). Our weekly guide is designed to help and support our local community with updates on FREE weekly online and outdoor events and things to do across Chichester & Bognor Regis and surrounding areas.

Our aim is to help our community keep bouncing back after COVID-19. With restrictions being eased a lot more now, we are seeing more events and venues open up. In this week’s WOW we have plenty of online virtual events and 4 outdoor events for you to enjoy. This gives you the option to go out or stay in the comfort of your own home.

We have an exacting brand-new piloted trishaw electric bike, Farmers Market, Health and Wellbeing Events, Walking, Self-Care and Wellness. Helping the elderly, isolated, and anyone stuck indoors to get back outside and be part of the Chichester community again, BrightRide offers piloted trishaw cycle rides – giving them the right to feel the wind in their hair.

10:00 Wellbalanced for Wellbeing – Call to book your free place

Are you feeling less steady on your feet or maybe finding it harder to rise from a chair or use the stairs?

Wellbalanced for Wellbeing is an affordable community-based strength & balance exercise programme for anyone over the age of 65, who has either, experienced a fall, feels unsteady on their feet or perhaps has some concerns about falling in the future.

Programme participants are offered:

  • Local regular classes across Arun.
  • Home support packs
  • Practical advice
  • 1 to 1 strength and balance assessments

10.30  Weekly HeartSmart walks – Free Event – Monday 3 May 2021 – Book Online

Where: Various Locations around Chichester areas

These walks are led by volunteer Walk Leaders and are designed to cater for all ages and abilities. The walks offer opportunities to exercise and meet new people in a safe and friendly environment. Dogs are welcome on the walks unless otherwise stated in the walk description.

This two-hour presentation will focus on understanding how stress affects you (the psychological, spiritual, interpersonal and physical impacts); learning strategies to help you manage stress more effectively and to build resiliency; the virtual practice of the different strategies to manage stress and practice self-care and wellness.
