Ken Deary established Right at Home in the UK in 2010, having experienced the difficulties of finding good care for an immediate family member first-hand.
He knew that in America, where Right at Home has more than 350 offices and 20 years experience, care companies delivered a very different promise – ensuring that their clients’ dignity, independence and personal choices remained their top priority at all times.
After an intense few months of preparation, Ken and a small but dedicated team finalised the policies and procedures needed to deliver this new method of highly personalised, professional care in the UK.
The first office opened in Preston, Lancashire; quickly received its registration from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), getting their best possible rating (Good) for the initial inspection, and began delivering home care services in April 2010.
In 2011 Ken began seeking like-minded people to open Right at Home offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our list of locations is increasing all the time, although growth will come slowly, as it is vitally important that we find the right people to deliver the high standards set across the group.
Excellent friendly company kept the same carer as much as possible for my mum which helps her.
