Did you know that we also care for more complex cases?

A Case Study

At the beginning of 2018 we were asked to care for a lady who had suffered a major stroke. Anna had no movement in her legs or left arm and very limited use of her right arm. She also wasn’t able to articulate. Since then, we have been visiting several times a day to provide personal care for this lady, with two carers doubling up when manoeuvring Anna in a hoist from bed to wheelchair. We also see to her medication, prepare meals, provide companionship to her and her husband whilst also attending to such things as laundry.

Anna has had love and care from the small team of carers who she has got used to. We also liaise with her close family constantly.  Now Anna has some movement, she can feed herself and clean her own teeth, and her upper body strength improves daily.  She is now speaking, laughing and joking with staff and it is wonderful to see.
