Understanding your care needs
From your very first conversation with Right at Home East Lancashire and Ribble Valley, we will begin building a picture of your individual needs so we can provide the best information and support. We never ‘sell’ our home care services and are happy to discuss your situation and offer advice without any obligation.
If you are ringing to arrange care, we will complete a basic needs assessment on the initial call then agree to visit at a time and location that suits you – this is usually the client’s home but can also be in a hospital or residential care facility, if they are preparing to return home.
Of course we will bring our expertise and answer your questions, but the main aim of this visit is to listen and understand how you would like us to help. We will put this information into a detailed assessment, which, if you decide to accept our services, will form the basis of your Personal Care Plan.
Highly personalised care plans
Our care plans are built around the client’s preferred daily routines and the way they like to have things done. We aim to be an unobtrusive source of support, enabling our clients to increase their independence in a safe environment and ensuring complete peace of mind for their loved ones.
We will consult health professionals and other members of your support network and take a holistic approach to our clients’ well-being, offering emotional support, companionship and social interaction as well as practical assistance. This approach ensures that our care addresses all your needs and incorporates all your personal choices.
Get involved in your care
Before we deliver any care we will present you with a draft Care Plan to review and approve. We will strive to meet your preferred visit times and consult you about which CareGivers would be best suited to visit, as it’s very important that you get along and can build good relationships. We will introduce a small, consistent team and if there are ever any concerns about a specific CareGiver we will respond quickly by taking them off your rota and finding someone you feel is better suited.

At Right at Home we aim to surpass everyone’s expectations with the standards of our home care delivery and support. We provide the levels of care we would want for our own family members and our teams pride themselves on being happy to go the extra mile. We aim to be fully flexible and responsive, working with clients and their families whenever changes are needed. We value your feedback and our office team is always happy to discuss any concerns or answer questions.
Communication is key; our CareGivers will keep detailed daily notes in the home to ensure information is shared, and any changes in need are responded to quickly. Our management team will make follow up calls and spot-checks to make sure that your Care Plan is being implemented successfully and that you are completely satisfied with the services you are receiving. And our billing system gives a detailed account of what care has been delivered, by whom and when.
