A former Registered Manager at Right at Home Ilkley is just weeks away from launching her own franchise business in neighbouring Harrogate.

Veronica Manolache joined the network as an RM two years ago – it’s a role she’s loved and excelled at, but her ambition was always to open her own business and now she’s finally about to make that leap.

Romania-born Veronica travelled to England in 2013 at the age of 25 with a view to opening a small bistro. She had already gained a degree in economics and had worked in various management and marketing roles back home, but when the recession hit, she decided to follow a different career path.

The budding entrepreneur started work as a bar manager in a UK pub, but just months into the role, she found herself drawn to the care sector.

Veronica completed 10 days of New Owner Induction Training in January.

“The concept of helping people and getting paid for it made me look into it further. Since I was a child, I have always loved to help people. It made me happy to look after my elderly neighbours,” she said.

Veronica joined a care home in Leeds and received her NVQ qualifications before moving up the career ladder in various care settings.

“For the first time in my life, I felt that I had found my vocation,” she said. “Over the years, working in different care settings made me want to do more and more, so I have taken the opportunity to develop my knowledge and skills.”

Veronica said joining RaH as a Registered Manager exposed her to high-quality practices, which aligned with her values, and opened new horizons for her.

She is now in the position to pursue her passion for providing exceptional care services, while fulfilling a life-long dream of opening her own business.

“I am so proud to be setting up my own service which looks after people and supports them to live independently in their own homes, empowered by people who share the same values as myself and Right at Home as a whole.”

Now in her 30s, Veronica believes that choosing to franchise with RaH has been her greatest decision.

“Franchising, especially in the care industry, can provide young entrepreneurs with a structured pathway to business ownership. Right at Home, in particular, has a proven business model and provides all the training and support you need, along with brand recognition, which comes with instant credibility,” she explained.

“I chose to franchise with Right at Home because it gave me the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives whilst making my dreams come true.”

Veronica has recently completed 10 days of face-to-face New Owner Induction Training at National Office and her business is now awaiting its CQC registration.

In the meantime, she is setting her sights on building a strong team of care professionals to serve older and disabled adults in their community.

The new Harrogate franchise adds to our growing presence in Yorkshire, taking the number of RaH offices in the region to five.

We are pleased to welcome aboard Veronica as a new Franchise Owner and look forward to supporting her to grow her business.
