Sam has Asperger Syndrome and lives in his own flat. His parents knew he needed some supervision and assistance with living on his own and wanted to encourage his independence with support from a CareGiver of a similar age.

The many years Bob spent as a soldier and active construction worker were beginning to take a physical toll. At first, he simply had trouble standing up from his chair without a helping hand, but he soon needed more help.

When a client in her 90s told us how much she wanted to be a part of her granddaughters wedding and to be there for the speeches, we came up with several options to help the Client achieve this goal. The Client and her family decided that the best option would be for a CarerGiver to collect the Client at 10am and drive her 80 miles to the wedding in West Sussex. Then to stay close by throughout the day, support where required and then drive her home after the wedding breakfast and speeches around 9pm.

The care and support delivered allowed our client to retain her independence throughout the day with the confidence and reassurance that assistance was right there whenever it was required. The family could also relax and fully enjoy their day without worrying about our clients' needs.

We received this lovely card from a family of a Client whose final wish was to pass away at home with his family around him. We cared for this Client, a former army officer in his 90s who lived with his wife, for 16 months. He was visited by our care team 3 times per day with each visit being double handed (two carers required).
