Neringa

Senior Care Giver and Trainer

Q. Tell me a little bit about yourself: I am a friendly, caring person and mother of 3 beautiful children. I like a challenge in my life, which I think just makes you stronger.

Q. What previous experience did you have in care? I was fresh and new to care.

Owner Scott MacRae gives Neringa her Carer of the Month certificate

Q. What do you enjoy doing when you are not caring? When I have free time from caring, I enjoy spending time outdoors, to visit interesting places and swimming.

Q. What has been the best thing since joining Right at Home? The best thing since joining the team at Right at Home is that I have got more confidence in myself. I realised that I can do things that I would never have thought of and I am now finished my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, which is just amazing!

Q. What would we be surprised to know about you? I love rides at the  fun fair (especially the scary ones ha ha ha!!)

Q. What did you do before joining Right at Home? Before I became a carer, I worked in catering and then before that I was in house keeping.

Q. How would your clients describe you? One of Neringa’s clients answered this one for us! “Neringa took the time to get to know x from the first day – she is caring and very competent and I feel very relaxed if she is leading the call. She also happens to be a lovely lady who we are very fond of.”

Q. What challenge do you enjoy the most with the job? When the things look very difficult to do, but you still manage to do it one way or another, which makes me feel proud.

Q. What advice would you give someone joining the team? The advice would be just be yourself, be patient and understanding – all people are individuals and like different things, just try to put yourself in their shoes!
