Sacha – CareGiver of the Month for January

Sacha only joined a few months ago but she has made a big impression on the team and her clients already. She has been awarded CareGiver of the Month for January as she has gone above and beyond in her role especially with some of our clients were we are spending multiple hours at a time. She has enriched their lives and given them something to look forward to each day by organising different activities. Well done Sacha.

Tell me a little bit about yourself?

My name is Sacha I am 38 and a mother of 4 children.

What were your first impressions of Right at Home?

The set up was warming and professional.

Did you have any previous experience in care before you joined?

I only had family care experience.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time when you are not caring?

Shopping, sewing and socialising

What has surprised you most about working at Right at Home?

How the staff go the extra mile to support and help all clients.

What is the most challenging thing about being a carer?

Making some clients feel comfy with a new face in their home.

And encourage those with small appetites to eat.

But I love the challenge.

What do you enjoy most about working at Right at Home?

Getting to know the clients and trying to better their lives.

What did you do before joining Right at Home?

I worked in accounts.

What might we be surprised to know about you?

That I had an extreme weight loss

And am now half the woman I used to be.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the team?

That being a carer is so rewarding.

How do you think clients would describe you?

Warming, Happy, and always wanting to please.

Tell me how you first got involved with Right at Home?

I saw a Job advert online and close friends and family told me that they thought it was the perfect job for me.

I think they were right as I have really enjoyed everyday so far.
