Storm Christoph causes major incident in Cheshire.

When the Environment Agency announced there was a risk of severe flooding in Northwich whilst the area was already suffering from snow and icy weather, at Right at Home Mid Cheshire we quickly implemented our Emergency Continuity Plan so we could be ready for the rapidly changing conditions in our rural community.

By being prepared and taking immediate steps we were able to ensure all client calls were made on time, both in Northwich which was cut off with many roads closed by flooding and also the outer rural villages, where our 4 x 4 vehicle got through the most extreme conditions.

Janet Bennett, Managing Director of Right at Home Mid Cheshire, says “I realise Storm Christoph has caused much worry for both our Clients and Care Givers and wish to thank them for their dedication and commitment to each other. Care Givers took long detours and allowed themselves more time to reach their clients, many of whom were concerned for their carer’s wellbeing, having seen the dreadful weather conditions outside their windows and on the national news”.

The teams dedication and commitment ensured all of our clients were kept safe and well.
