PLANS UNVEILED FOR 50 LOCAL CARE JOBS

Right at Home Mid Hampshire opens in Bishop’s Waltham to provide homecare services across the area

Published: 21/07/2022

Up to 50 new jobs are being created in the Bishop’s Waltham area, staffing a quality homecare service that supports independent living.

Local homecare provider Right at Home Mid Hampshire is opening a second office in Bishop’s Waltham to extend their highly personalised care services for older people and adults living with disabilities within the area.

Managing Director Nick Turner and his workforce are in the process of building a team of compassionate, committed, and highly trained CareGivers to deliver everything from personal care, companionship, and errand services, through to 24-hour live-in care within people’s own homes. The expansion is expected to provide around 50 new jobs in the local area.

The Bishop’s Waltham office is the second in Nick’s portfolio and will be fully supported by the CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ parent business Right at Home Mid Hampshire. Nick has successfully run Right at Home Mid Hampshire for 8 years and wanted to expand his network to support more people in the region.

Right at Home Mid Hampshire prides itself on investing in its staff, ensuring that all CareGivers receive well above the National Living Wage. Recently, the business also helped to address the issue of rising fuel costs by compensating workers with an increased mileage rate as well as reimbursing care workers for their travel time, which for many is a significant part of their earnings.

Right at Home Mid Hampshire is looking for both full-time and part-time additions to the team. They strive to offer regular yet flexible working hours, as well as opportunities to build a career in quality care whilst gaining qualifications.

Nick said: “It’s amazing for us to have the opportunity to open an office in Bishop’s Waltham. We have a number of clients in the area, but we have also been painfully aware that there is not yet enough care provision locally. It’s very important to us that every person should be able to remain in their own homes for as long as they wish, and we’re honestly delighted to undertake this new project with enormous enthusiasm and compassion.

He added: “We’re really excited to welcome more local people to our growing team. Applicants do not need to have previous experience in the care sector, as all CareGivers complete a comprehensive training package. This includes as much mentoring and shadowing as they need, to help them feel confident supporting Clients in their homes.”

The new office will mainly supply private care, but also continue to work with the NHS and Hampshire County Council.

Whilst already running, the new office will have its official opening on 22nd July.
