On Tuesday our CareGiver Becky took over our Twitter account to show how she makes a difference every day, we can see from her tweets that she enjoys the rewarding work that she does.
Becky’s days start at 9.00am after she drops her children off at school. Arriving at June’s home she helped her get up and start her day really well. After, Becky made June her breakfast and provided companionship for her. We also make sure we listen to our Client’s needs, and try and get them involved in activities – June decided that she would like tea, rather than coffee, anything June needs we support to ensure her needs are the priority.
Becky’s next call was to Michael to provide some more companionship, they went out to the park that Michael used to go to as a child with his mum. Where possible we will always go that extra mile to exceed our clients’ expectations. It’s really great that we can get Michael into the fresh air for some exercise, improving his well- being and health.
After an hour for her lunch Becky visited one of her dementia clients, Henry to provide respite for his wife, Rita. Looking after a loved sometimes means that our Clients need a period of free time to relax throughout the day. After the visit Rita will always feel rested as she knows that Henry is in good hands.
Our CareGivers take time to get to know their Clients. Becky knows a lot about her clients and is able to use her knowledge to brighten up their day.
Becky’s story showed us that not only the clients enjoy her visits but she does too.
