Back in April, we launched our national charity partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, where we pledged to raise more than £20,000 for the charity across our network of 60 offices over a 12-month period, as well as committing to make 1,000 Dementia Friends.
Dementia Friends is an Alzheimer’s Society initiative which aims to give people a better understanding of what it is like living with dementia. You can read more about becoming a Dementia Friend here.
On Thursday 13th June, Right at Home offices up and down the UK took part in one of Alzheimer’s Society’s flagship events, Cupcake Day. Whilst donations are still pouring in, at National Office our Office Administrator, Charlie Coppack, raised a fantastic £191.76 with her bake sale, following a ten-hour bakeathon the previous day!
Here are just a few of the sweet treats that were on offer across the Right at Home network for Cupcake Day…
Well done to everyone who got involved with Cupcake Day and thank you to everyone who bought a cake (or two!).
Over the coming months, we’ll be keeping you posted on the different challenges (think Skydives and 50km treks!) that we’ve signed up to, to help us reach our £20,000 fundraising target.
