Right at Home understands that its carers are its greatest asset – they are the ones who make the real difference to our clients’ lives.
In light of recent reports on the funding crisis faced by some social services home care providers, we would like to reassure our clients, their families and potential care staff that we are able to operate a very different business model which ensures our care teams are well paid and supported.
Ken Deary, Managing director of Right at Home UK, said: “As a quality care provider, Right at Home operates largely in the private market.
“Our staff benefit from excellent pay rates, including travel time, holiday pay and mileage allowance, training and shadowing allowance or pay and in some cases the option of guaranteed hours contracts.
“They receive excellent City & Guilds endorsed training and career development opportunities, and as our care model is based upon longer visits with regular clients, the real draw for Right at Home CareGivers is the amazing job satisfaction they get from improving the lives of others, while enjoying local work and hours to suit their lifestyle and family commitments.
“While we are working with our UK Home Care Association partners to find solutions for the funding pressures faced by Social Services care providers, there has actually never been a better time to work in the quality care market.”
Right at Home provides care services to clients who receive Social Services funding through the Direct Payment scheme, which allows people to manage their own funding budget and choose their own care provider. This option is open to everyone and allows a wider choice of care provision by topping up the hourly rate paid by the local authority.
