Marine Lake dip raises charity cash

The Right at Home North Somerset team recently raised over £2000 for Young Lives Vs Cancer by going for a cold dip!

Ten members of the team braved the freezing water of Marine Lake, Weston super Mare to raise money for Young Live Vs Cancer. Watched by clients, friends, family and members of the public, the group took the plunge on the 25th March 2023.

The lake is thought to be the largest infinity lake in the world and reaches 15 metres deep in the centre. It sits at around 8 degrees centigrade in March although in the depths of winter it can be as chilly as 3 degrees!

The team also held a raffle with their clients which contributed to an amazing total of £1016, which was then matched by Right at Home North Somerset to give a total of over £2000 for a very worthy cause.
