Our journey has begun

Looking back to  September last year when I came across Right at Home and had my first conversation with Kate at head office time seems to have flashed by in the blink of an eye.

So from that initial enquiry I became more and more interested in homecare after meeting the team at the franchise exhibition and loving the ethos that is the Right at Home family. From then on in it was all systems go with business plans, to writing presentations, to researching all the competition coming together in that final decision to sign on the dotted line and so Right at Home North Cheshire and Leigh moved from a dream to a reality.

It was great to complete the new owners training and share the start of the journey with some great owners who were as excited about the business as I was.

It seems like a long time ago now when in early January I met in Costa Coffee with Tish, who became my registered manager shortly after this. We have certainly had highs and lows, lots of laughs and no tears so far……!

Weeks of trawling through policies and procedures followed, along with more than a couple of late nights to make sure we had everything covered prior to our meeting with the CQC. I don’t think either of us would class that as ‘fun’ but necessary to ensure our clients get the best care possible.

Meeting so many potential carers with the same passion as us has been such a great experience. Today starting our first staff induction was so encouraging, lovely people all different but all with the same strong desire to help support our clients.

Today that email finally came to confirm our CQC registration and its celebrations all round. Now our journey has begun………
