We are fortunate to care for the elderly in Charlwood, Surrey. Right at Home Reigate and Crawley provided home care for a local elderly couple from March 2018 to Dec 2022. The couple enjoyed the company of friends and family and long associated with their local church St Nicholas, Charlwood, a medieval gem adorned with exquisite stained glass windows and historical artefacts. The husband used to play the clarinet in the St Nicholas Church choir well into his 90s. CareGivers and the care management team supported his passion for as long as he could play the clarinet. The daily visits to the church continued after the wife's passing in November 2019. CareGivers, with the support of the management team, supported the couple to live well in the beautiful surroundings of Charlwood village by going for regular walks, shopping visits and visits to enjoy the local cuisine and the warm hospitality of Charlwood's traditional pubs and charming eateries in and around 'The Street' lined by ancient timber-framed houses reflecting the village's architectural heritage.
The couple wished to live at home until the end of their life. The care team at Right at Home, along with the support and confidence of their family, provided visiting care and live-in care support to meet the needs of this pleasant elderly couple. Elderly husband and wife enjoyed their wholesome life at home, which is now possible for most elderly clients.
