The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the inspiring and important work that Care Givers provide in supporting vulnerable members of our community, all from the safety and comfort of their own homes. Our recent ranking as a top 20 homecare group proves our high quality of care, which revolves around an exceptional team of caring staff.

We are therefore delighted to launch our ‘Proud of my Profession’ campaign, which aims to celebrate our Carers for all their amazing work, showcase the reasons they decided to join the care profession, and why they are proud of their career in care. Our campaign shows Carers and staff of all ages and backgrounds who have joined our Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth & Hitchin family. They each have their own, personal story about why being a Care Giver means so much to them, so keep your eyes peeled for more details on our Facebook and Instagram pages!

What makes a good Carer?

In the simplest terms, good quality care requires someone with a big heart. Our team are all passionate, kind and strive to embody the core values of Caring: trust, compassion, respect and the dedication to delivering impeccable standards of high-quality care and emotional support. Careers in care also welcome strong, transferable skills from a multitude of other sectors, such as listening and communication skills, problem solving and attention to detail. Most importantly, a good Carer is someone who genuinely loves working with people to help improve their quality of life.

What other roles are available in care?
